April 9th
Vic and i ran away from home for the day, hired a sitter and took off. Went to the city for more supplies for the kitchen and then had time to do some caching. Looked for a series i could do that wouldn't interfere with a day trip for the 4 of us. Thought of Chris's WWR series and off we went. They are Chris's caches and i knew Rick and Ken had already done them so they were a perfect choice. We had a great time doing the series and i reached 1300 on WWR 15. We got to see the Church up on blocks waiting to go. Arrived home around 9:00 tired but happy with the day we had.

Good for you and Vic! Chris's WWR series is a great series, isn't it? And congratulations on # 1300! I'm not convinced that old church will ever go anywhere except up in smoke some dark night. It looks in very, very rough shape to me. Mind you, I'm no builder, but it doesn't look too sturdy to me.
ReplyDeleteHad a look under the church and i see a lot of rot. If it does get to move they will have to rebuild the whole thing to make it usable.
ReplyDeleteyou guys had quite a day and am so glad all my geo buddies got the series done . Brian not sure if u know but they build a foundation exactly that size to put the church on -- I bet they are kicking their butts now ... okay enjoy the sun -- Chris
